Business Development Associate - fintech startup with experienced founder team

Job Description
We're an early stage FinTech founded by an experienced founder team who built multi-million Euro startups before. With our new FinTech we are entering a regulated 100 billion Euro market, while being backed by various unicorn founders, senior industry executives and various global tier 1 VC investors.

You will get the opportunity to join a fast scaling startup as one of the first employees and you will work directly with the founders.

We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join us full-time from September 2024.
Your Role:
  • As a Business Development Associate at Xaver, you will be a key player in driving the growth of Xaver by strategically expanding our client base within the financial sector.
  • Your role will involve actively seeking out and identifying new business opportunities and cultivating impactful partnerships with enterprise clients, including banks, insurers, brokers and other financial product distributors.
  • You will be essential in implementing targeted sales strategies aimed at engaging large financial institutions, while also ensuring alignment with our marketing efforts and overall business goals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Support:
  • Assist in identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the financial industry to grow our customer base and market presence.
  • Support the sales team in building relationships with brokers and other financial product distributors to promote Xaver’s AI and product platform.
Sales Strategy Assistance:
  • Help to devise a comprehensive sales strategy targeting large financial institutions, in line with the company's mission and vision.
  • Support in managing sales cycles and assist in contract negotiations with potential clients, aiming for long-lasting partnerships.
Marketing & Sales Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to synchronize strategies and campaigns, enhancing potential client outreach and engagement.
  • Contribute to utilizing data-driven insights to refine sales tactics and marketing efforts.
Product Promotion:
  • Support the promotion of Xaver's products and services, helping to convey our value proposition to potential partners.
  • Assist in gathering market feedback and communicating this to the product development team to help adapt our offerings.
Team Support:
  • Foster a cooperative work environment that is in line with Xaver's mission and values, supporting teamwork to achieve business goals.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • First experience in sales or business development, preferably within the financial services sector, is advantageous.
  • A strong sales attitude and demonstrated ability in assisting with sales processes and understanding complex sales dynamics.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eager and proactive in learning, with a keen interest in the fintech startup ecosystem.
  • A budding network within financial institutions in Germany is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and German, with additional European languages as a plus.
